Hello! Welcome to Prototype 1.3! We’re excited to show you a lot of interesting new features and we hope that this helps you visualize Sari Sari Skies even more! 

We really wanted to clutch this since our deadline for the PGDX submission is getting really close plus we wanted to give you all something else to chew on. Our hope is that you give the prototype a shot and that it excites and inspires you to keep on creating! 

P.S. it is the AI’s first time racing as well so be nice. Mr robot might get tired and take a break. He might give up as some point. Please be chill with mr robot 

Features 

• We have a custom splash screen now! By Arti
• Screen transitions are a thing now By Arti
• Level 3 greybox has been added By Arti
• Level 2 Obstacles by Chester 
• Race UI Implemented by Ian 
  • Only Progress Bar and Primary Shoutbox Functional
• Dialogue and car scene by Coru 
• AI by Gab 
  • Has pathfinding 
  • Function AI kites that follow and chase shout boxes 
  • Ai racers with state machine 
  • Waypoint system paired with the Godot built in navmesh system 
  • Capable of using links to jump in difficult to reach places 

Changes

• HUGE Level 1 Functionality and changes finished by Ian 
• Level 2 obstacles have been added
• Lighting updates to reflect world mood per level 
• Friction changed from 0.4 to 0.5 (less slidey) 
• Minimum movement speed changed from 2.5 to 3.0 

Bug fixes 

• Level 1 obstacles fixed turning rate 

TODO 

• Adding more screen  transitions to the rest of the game
• Full functionality of Race UI
• Fleshing out AI 
• Gliding mechanics
